EAE Barcelona and Barcelona Global promote young talent and innovation in the city
The business school hosts the second ideation session of the Barcelona 2046 programme, framed within the partnership between the school and Barcelona Global, an alliance aimed at fostering talent, innovation and commitment to the city’s development.
The proposals developed during the session will be assessed on the basis of their feasibility, and the highest-rated proposals will be presented at Barcelona City Council at the end of the programme.
This alliance also includes the participation of students from the business school in MBA Day, the annual event that brings together hundreds of international MBA students in Barcelona.

EAE Barcelona, part of the higher education network Planeta Formación y Universidades, hosted the second ideation session of the Barcelona 2046 programme, the leadership and city initiative promoted by Barcelona Global that brings together young talents aged between 27 and 33 who are committed to the future of Barcelona.
The session forms part of the strategic partnership between both institutions, a collaboration aimed at fostering talent, innovation and commitment to the city’s economic and social development. This alliance positions EAE Barcelona as a key player within the innovation and employability ecosystem of the Catalan capital.
An alliance to connect talent, innovation and the city
The session began with an introduction by Betty Roig, Senior Corporate and Member Relations at Barcelona Global, who explained the programme and its main objectives, as well as by Vanesa Alós, International Sales & Admissions Manager at EAE Barcelona, who presented the business school and its commitment to generating a positive impact in the region.
The session was led by Xavier Verdaguer, CEO of Imagine Creativity Center and member of Barcelona Global’s International Council, through a methodology that combines Design Thinking and Design Doing to generate applied, multidisciplinary proposals with real potential for impact.
In this context, Marta Morcillo, General Manager of EAE, explains that “for EAE Barcelona, it is important to collaborate in initiatives that connect young talent, innovation and commitment to the city. Spaces such as Barcelona 2046 make it possible to generate ideas with true transformative potential and foster a shared vision for the future of Barcelona.”
The proposals developed during the session will subsequently be assessed based on criteria of feasibility and alignment with the city’s strategic priorities, and the highest-rated proposals will move forward to their final presentation at Barcelona City Council at the close of the programme.
EAE Barcelona, at the heart of the international MBA ecosystem
The alliance with Barcelona Global goes beyond Barcelona 2046. The collaboration between the two institutions also includes, among other initiatives, the participation of students from the school in MBA Day, the annual event that brings together international MBA students from the city’s leading business schools. The event includes visits to corporate headquarters, research centres and technology companies, allowing students to gain first-hand insight into the main drivers of the local economy.
This connection with the business community complements the academic offering of programmes such as EAE Barcelona’s MBA and strengthens students’ employability through initiatives linked to the professional and entrepreneurial environment. In addition, EAE Barcelona promotes various initiatives aimed at professional development and business connection through its Career Development Center and its innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem.
