EAE Business School Barcelona and Banco Sabadell conclude a development program to strengthen the strategic role of the People Department

The initiative has trained more than 200 professionals from the bank's People Department through a tailored learning journey designed to develop new skills, build a shared vision and reinforce its role as a strategic business partner.

Barcelona, 8 July 2026. EAE Business School Barcelona and Banco Sabadell have marked the end of the People Specialization Program, a training and development initiative designed to support the strategic evolution of the bank's People Department.

The program trained more than 200 professionals over the course of 11 editions and was designed to tackle the new challenges facing the People Department within organizations. The objective of the program was to foster new knowledge, strengthen key capabilities and develop a shared understanding of the strategic role the department plays in driving organizational transformation.

Training aligned with the current challenges of People Management

Banco Sabadell and EAE Business School Barcelona worked together to design a training experience tailored to the real needs of participants and aligned with the bank’s strategic objectives.

Over the course of the program, participants explored key areas including talent management, the integration of new technologies into Human Resources, communication as a core professional skill, and the financial principles that influence decision-making within a banking environment.

A project built on collaboration and continuous improvement

One of the program’s defining features was its collaborative approach. It was conceived as a dynamic initiative, designed through actively listening to the bank’s needs, participants’ expectations, the experience of faculty and industry experts, mentors’ feedback, and the outcomes of each edition.

This process enabled continuous improvements throughout the program, maximizing its impact and ensuring it remained aligned with the evolving needs of the organization.

Strong results and high levels of participant satisfaction

The results reflect high levels of participant satisfaction, with very positive feedback on both the content and the learning methodology.

Faculty and mentors both highlighted participants’ active engagement, critical thinking, collaborative approach and ability to apply their learning in practice. They also praised the high level of commitment demonstrated throughout the program and the quality of the projects developed.

At the closing ceremony, Marta Morcillo, the Director General of EAE Business School Barcelona, highlighted the value of the partnership between the two organizations:
