EAE Business School Barcelona and Beijing Normal – Hong Kong Baptist University sign an academic cooperation agreement
The collaboration, with an initial term of five years, will promote future joint initiatives such as academic exchange and the development of shared programs.
Barcelona, x February 2026. EAE Business School Barcelona, part of the higher education network Planeta Formación y Universidades, has signed a cooperation agreement with Beijing Normal – Hong Kong Baptist University (BNBU), the first Sino-Foreign Cooperative University between the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong, China. The agreement was signed at the Oxford and Cambridge Club in London, during the inauguration ceremony of BNBU’s new center in the British capital. The event was attended by representatives of both institutions, as well as other academic institutions such as Royal Holloway, University of London; King’s College London (KCL); University College London (UCL); and the University of Salamanca (USAL).
The agreement, with an initial term of five years, opens the door to joint initiatives in areas such as student and faculty exchange, as well as the development of shared academic programs, both short- and long-term. The aim is to facilitate international learning experiences and strengthen academic collaboration between Europe and Asia.
“The alliance with BNBU allows us to expand our opportunities for international cooperation and offer our students and faculty new academic experiences in a leading university environment,” says Marta Morcillo, Business Director of EAE Business School Barcelona.
For his part, Adolf K.Y. Ng, Dean and Professor of Business and Management at Beijing Normal – Hong Kong Baptist University, notes that “this agreement strengthens our international network of academic partners and lays the groundwork for future collaborations in teaching and research with a European institution with a strong international profile.”
Founded in 2005 as a result of collaboration between Chinese mainland and Hong Kong, China, Beijing Normal University–Hong Kong Baptist University (BNBU) is a pioneering university in higher education on the mainland. Located in Zhuhai, in the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area, BNBU offers instruction primarily in English, with an international and interdisciplinary approach, and provides undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
In terms of professional accreditations, its Accounting and Finance programs are recognized by organizations such as HKICPA, CPA Australia, and ACCA.
With this agreement, EAE Business School Barcelona strengthens its internationalization strategy and consolidates its network of alliances in Asia, collaborating with institutions linked to Hong Kong Baptist University, whose business school holds the prestigious triple crown international accreditation (AACSB, AMBA, and EQUIS).
