EAE Business School Barcelona and the Spanish Transport Association (AET) have signed a collaboration agreement to roll out a joint agenda focused on specialized training, knowledge generation, and fostering connections between professionals and companies in the transport and logistics sectors. The aim is to promote the practical adoption of technologies and capabilities that the sector needs in its day-to-day operations.
The agreement establishes a framework for EAE Business School Barcelona and AET to launch initiatives in areas such as training and microlearning, networking, engagement with institutions and associations, and activities and events aimed at knowledge sharing among experienced professionals with responsibilities in the sector.
“The collaboration prioritizes turning real sector needs into applicable content and projects through a work schedule and information exchange to identify opportunities, improve ongoing initiatives, and strengthen dialogue with the relevant public administrations, as stated in the agreement itself, which also includes exclusive benefits for AET members and their families,” said Juan Manuel Martínez Mourín, President of AET.
At the same time, the shared work proposal incorporates training programs designed to address the most immediate challenges of the logistics chain—from the implementation of tools and technologies to leadership and project management with advanced analytics.
Among the proposed pathways is a modular program in Digital Transformation in Transport and Logistics (20 to 30 hours), aimed at training participants in the adoption of digital technologies to improve efficiency, traceability, and decision-making. It includes the integration of tools such as TMS, IoT, RFID, sensors, Big Data, and AI, with a practical approach.
The agenda also includes a module on Sustainable Transport and Responsible Value Chain (15 to 20 hours) to incorporate ESG criteria into logistics and transport operations, with an applied perspective on green logistics, circular economy, and activity-linked indicators.
In addition, there is a Project Management AI & Business Analytics program lasting approximately six months, which integrates analytics and AI into project management and includes preparation for PMI/Scrum certifications, as well as a six-month leadership track focused on managing teams in changing environments.
Finally, the proposal includes an Executive MBA with a Tech Specialization (18 months, 60 ECTS), featuring a final project focused on real challenges that may be provided by AET or companies in the sector.
“The value lies in practicality—in the application of knowledge, in judgment, methodology, and tools that improve decisions and processes. This alliance allows us to bring real sector challenges into the classroom and return them to the business world as qualified talent, reinforcing our purpose of generating real impact and consolidating our position as one of the leading business schools in employability,” highlighted Marta Morcillo, General Manager of EAE Business School Barcelona.
