EAE Business School Barcelona, an international business school belonging to the Planeta Formación y Universidades network, has announced the winners of the fourth edition of the EAE Top 10 Women Entrepreneurs of Catalonia. The ranking recognizes the leadership of female founders with innovative projects that generate economic and social impact. As of this year, the initiative is jointly developed with Barcelona Activa, the economic development agency of Barcelona City Council.

The 2026 edition places Marina Rigau Resina and Eva Colás Ortega, co-founders of MiMARK, Patricia Villagrasa González, co-founder of Reveal Genomics, and Carla Maté Goldar, founder of D-Sight, in the top three positions. All three lead companies in the scientific and healthcare fields, developing advanced solutions for disease diagnosis and treatment, reflecting the growing importance of health innovation in Catalonia’s current entrepreneurial landscape.

The EAE Top 10 Women Entrepreneurs of Catalonia ranking aims to highlight female entrepreneurial talent in the region, creating role models and strengthening the connection between innovation, business, and society.

This ranking is not just an award. It is also a platform that gives visibility to female founders who are already transforming key sectors and creates opportunities for their projects to scale. It clearly reflects EAE Barcelona’s purpose: connecting top talent with the business ecosystem, generating knowledge, partnerships, and growth from an international and diverse perspective,” said Carlota Suriol, Marketing and Communications Director at EAE Business School Barcelona.

The winners are selected by a professional committee that evaluates criteria such as degree of innovation, social impact, and business model scalability. This year’s jury, composed of nearly 50 members, included organizations such as ACCIÓ, Foment del Treball, Tech Barcelona, Cambra de Comerç de Barcelona, Mobile World Congress, and Barcelona Activa, among other key players in Catalonia’s entrepreneurial and business ecosystem.

This year’s edition stands out for the strong presence of health innovation initiatives, reflecting the growing relevance of this field in Catalonia and the capacity of women entrepreneurs to drive solutions with a direct impact on citizenswell-being.

The top position in the ranking went to Marina Rigau and Eva Colás, co-founders of MiMARK, a women’s health company focused on transforming gynecological diagnosis through innovative non-invasive solutions using gynecological fluid as a liquid biopsy. Their first product, GyLDEC, is an IVD for the diagnosis of endometrial cancer, and they are developing additional solutions for high-impact gynecological conditions such as endometriosis.

Second place was awarded to Patricia Villagrasa, founder of Reveal Genomics. This biotechnology company develops diagnostic tools based on advanced genomic techniques and machine learning to personalize therapeutic decisions in cancer. Its HER2DX test, validated in more than 5,000 breast cancer patients, estimates relapse risk and likelihood of treatment response, enabling more tailored therapeutic strategies and reducing overtreatment.

Carla Maté, founder of D-Sight, completes the top three. This spin-off from the Vall d’Hebron environment develops neuroprotective drugs in eye-drop form for the early treatment of diabetic retinopathy and glaucoma—two of the leading causes of blindness worldwide, for which there are no non-invasive alternatives in early stages.
