EAE Business School Barcelona signs an agreement with Mobile World Capital Barcelona to combat the digital talent gap

EAE Business School Barcelona and Mobile World Capital Barcelona (MWCapital) have signed a partnership agreement with the aim of contributing to the activity of Barcelona Digital Talent, the Foundation’s program designed to combat the digital talent gap in order to promote competitiveness in the market.

With the new agreement, the two institutions aim to enhance training in digital competencies boost Barcelona’s capacity to attract and develop digital talent and thereby close the digital gap. EAE is a leading business school in Barcelona that forms part of Planeta Formación y Universidades, the international higher education network of the Planeta Group. The School specializes in training in the areas of data, innovation and digitization.

The agreement was signed by Francesc Fajula, the CEO of Mobile World Capital Barcelona; Jordi Arrufí, the Director of MWCapital’s Digital Talent program; Carlos Giménez, the President of EAE Business School and CEO of Planeta Formación y Universidades; and Jose Luis Fernández, the General Director of EAE Business School Barcelona.

In view of EAE Business School’s positioning in the fields of innovation and entrepreneurship, as well as its close ties to the business community and its knowledge and research partners and associations, the School is on a constant quest to find key players such as MWCapital to progress towards its strategic objectives.

Fajula emphasized that “in order to boost the economic and social development of our country, it is essential to connect the strategic sectors, which act as a springboard for change, with effective training and education”, adding that “talent needs accompaniment aligned with the needs of a changing market. Therefore, this type of agreement is crucial as it facilitates the connection between companies, education centres and professionals”.

Giménez went on to highlight that “training connected to the industrial and business community that helps generate talent in line with the needs of society is one of the intrinsic values of the approach to education at EAE and the rest of the schools that form part of Planeta Formación y Universidades”.
